Its an ACOG what more than that do you need to know!?!?! Fantastic glass / clarity at all distances after its zero'd no adjustments nec. no diopter, no focus, no ranging the reticle does its job and built like a tank. It does have the minor annoyance of all acog's when doing the first zero in you must adjust then knuckle Tap it firmly to get the prisms to move, set, otherwise you move it no change, no change then big change Too Far! Hahaha but when its zero'd your set. This BDC is set for 20 inch barrel 168 gr. stated in booklet. I found on my PSA AR10, 18 SS, 1 in 10 right hand twist, barrel BDC likes and is Very good for Hornady 165 gr GMX out to about 600 yds., If I'm stretchin it out The Hornady SST 168 gr Poli tip boat tail with this mounted to my Ruger RPR precision 20 in barrel w/ZRO Delta muz brake in .308 is good from about the 3 hun Yds. stadia line to well beyond what my caffeine stabilized hands and old eyes can accurately judge LOL! (beyond 800 Yds.)

I was skeptical, but I needed a quick inexpensive target scope to practice mid range shots. 2-4 hundred yards I was pleasantly surprised. fully multi coated lenses, low dispersion (ED) glass, nitrogen purged/waterproof, and a decent magnification range. the images are clear and bright all the way to the edges. The focus though kind of jittery and quick, but it was one finger adjustable and does do its job, relatively smooth. The zoom on eyepiece (non removable) is firmer but feels precise and not too stiff as to move the mount. As a reference I am using this on a heavy duty professional carbon fiber photography tripod with very good large Ball mount, and the comparison I have made are to the scopes I regularly use on my rifles, 1. Leupold VX3i 3.5x10 by 56 and the big bad boy Trijicon ACOG 5.5 x 50 and an older (made in USA with Japanese glass) Vortex crossfire (Ver.1) 6-18 x 44 illuminated, All of which have excellent optical qualities and first 2 cost several times what this Spot scope did. This amazingly cheap for what you get scope is clearer and less color abhoration, and much brighter than the Vortex mid cheap scope. In the range about as clear and detailed, although not quite as bright as the huge objective Leupold,($800) but much more magnification and very detailed at full 45x, can't really hold a candle to the ACOG's($1400)Phenomenal Glass, but I can pick out individual bullet holes @400yds mid day, good sun, not hazy, on black splatter target yellow ring. Even with

I was a bit skeptical that the lower magnification would be quite enough but.... first the best point the quality glass / clarity is magnificent, edge to edge no aberration, color distortion, not grainy even at full MAG. just absolute clarity as good or better than the Night force, Zeiss, Schmitt and bender?... I could not tell a difference at same magnification in day light good conditions and compared to all of my buddies really expendy scopes!!! Agreed by all of us that it was much better than the new Vortex PST Gen 2 glass same conditions. The great part even though the magnification is not tremendous the 56mm Objective Sucks in light you just have to see to believe! I was able to stay out longer by usually 1/2 hour to 45 min Legit Hunting Time! Collects light at dusk and in those atmospheric conditions / colors to allow you to see things in the lower tree line against darker backdrop than the naked eye will ever pick up! I use this mostly for HOG hunting which are darker color than deer and more difficult to pick out at these times but they are usually most active then. Little expensive but IMHO worth every penny! if your on the fence just buy it! you wont be disappointed! BTW I shoot a Ruger Precision Rifle in .308

Not a $500 Eotech, but twice the quality of similar priced China made and other junk on market. feels slightly loose when flipped up / engaged. doesn't matter its the red dots own adjustments that hold (or not) accuracy. I bought to use with a Vortex Spark and the combination lines up perfect. lots of diopter adjustment to fit my eye! very bright very clear all the way out to edges! giving a nice wide field of view. Like the somewhat long eye relief adds to the flexibility and quickens reaction shooting time acquiring targets! highly recommend for medium priced plinking accuracy out to about 100 meters. Vortex needs to make one in a 5x
