I bought this barrel in November of 2025 as I was collecting parts for a build. It takes be a while to collect all the pieces for a build as I have to limit how much I spend or I would just go crazy. I am A huge fan of Faxon and own many of their products and haven't had a problem until now. I finally got all the parts to build out the gun and begin the process of tuning and refining the parts before Cerakoting. First function test failure to fire , failure to extract. It was chewing the rim off of the cartridges, not getting a full bite and leaving a feint light strike. Called it a day and came back later with 5 different types of ammo and someone to help observations and brainstorming. (my engineer son) Still the same issues intermittently, Hornady match at least fired, but still failure to extract. So I threw a Faxon match grade BCG in from my blackout to see if it was a head spacing problem, still the same issue. The round appears to be too deep when in battery and only grabs half the rim on extraction which causes it to slip off. Aside from the fact that it is to far away from the bolt face for a proper primer strike. 1 in 5 rounds would go off and none would extract, I had to use a brass rod to poke them out. The cartridge wasn't crazy tight or seemingly deformed. I am terribly disappointed and I'm not sure if I should buy another Faxon barrel. This is my 12th build and all of my builds have gottento functioning and reliable rifles. Unfortunately I am way past the grace...

So it will not work in a standard AR upper. It is also NOT meant for a 308/AR-10 upper. Just trying to clear things up for others. There are other 350L barrels that are not big bore extensions yet still have a single feed ramp - and these will work in your standard upper.

works ammo through with no jams. I believe it's due to the single feed ramp instead of standard m4 type.

The barrel with the big bore feed ramps makes it reliable in the ar platform. Im shooting a .6 moa @ 100 yds. I own alot of faxon barrels and they never disappoint

I can attest that this barrel is pistol length, not carbine length like it says. Unfortunately I didn't find this out until I assembled the gas block, gas tube, and attempt to install on the barrel.

Other than this, it seems to be well made. I can't write a review in how it shoots as I was given incorrect information. If this barrel is anything like other Faxon barrels, expect a break-in period.

I purchased this barrel for a 350 Legend build for deer hunting in Michigan. The barrel was high quality and was easy to install. The accuracy has been great too.

Nowhere in the product description does it state that this is for a .308 style M5 upper. It doesn't fit my Aero M4E1 upper. Pretty disappointing finding this out during assembly. Hopefully the return process isn't too painful.

Bought this and a BCG to replace the GLFA factory original. This barrel has a much smaller gas vent and I was skeptical with cycling. To be sure I did dimple the barrel although Faxon suggests barrels should not be to avoid corrosion opportunities. I'm currently a few hundred rounds and have cut group sizes in half. I will definitely lean towards Faxon products for my next AR build.
