Awesome scope at a really cheap price
To start, this is not a high end scope, so I'm not going to hold it up against a Nightforce and say that it's a piece of junk. This scope is installed on a 7mm Rem Mag with no muzzle brake. After bore sighing, it was on paper at 25 yards. After adjusting for 3 inches of windage and 4 inches of eleva...

Not worth the pruchase for anything .308 or above.
I bought this for A Remington 700 in .308.
First, after ordering the scope it took about a MONTH for it to get to me. Mind you the return policy ends in 30 days. So by the time I got this thing and realized it was worthless I was stuck with it.
Second, this thing supposedly has a variable zoom up ...

Could be a nice scope
Scope has clear glass zoom was ok. Unfortunately the scope I got was defective and would not adjust to zero. So I had to return it.
Pros:
- Clear glass & Reticle
Cons:
- Received a defective item
Would recommend: Yes
Adjustable Objective
The scope is great and powerful. It's 10-40x objective is what makes it so powerful. It's like a spotting scope for your rifle.

I should have known better
I bought this scope for a savage arms .338 lapua. I know what you thinking (why). I was trying to be a cheapskate. Anyways the scope glass looks good, however the maginificarion adjust is horrible. Also I found out on my high powered rifle I should really have a 30mm tube, trying to zero in at 100 yards wouldn't happen with the rings supplied with the scope. I returned it for a vortex viper and I'm glad I did.

Good product
I threw away the cheesy scope rings that ce with it and got an offset clamp mount for it. Then I mounted it on my AR10 and took it out to the back 40 and laser bore sighted it out to 100 yards. I agree with another post that I'd read, that this is more like an 8-32x scope. But that said, you can get right up on a target with the magnification on this scope, and it holds it's zero really well. Surprising for so cheap a scope!

Firefield 10-40x50 review
Clear, bright optics. Easy to zoom in and out, easy to focus. Easy adjustments to zero. Holds zero well after ~100 rds 308. -1 star for cheap rings - need loctite to keep secure. Easily outperforms anything in the price range.
Pros:
- clear optics
- Zoom in or out very smooth
Cons:
- Cheap rings
Best Used for:
- long range and precision shooting

Review of Firefield Tactical IR 10-40x50mm Adjustable Objective Riflescope
For some rifles the size and weight of this optic might be a problem. I have mounted this on my WW1 M1917 Eddystone 30-06, which is a heavy, long rifle already....so weight and size are no issue. I have found this to have superior performance for the price, and even if it was priced even higher it would still be worth the money. In all optics there are trade offs. Shorter scopes to get performance have to rely on better lens which cost more money. In this case (in my opinion) you get the performance advertised because of the additional length of the scope allows less costlier lens. Since size and weight did not matter on this rifle, it was a good trade off to allow my old eyes to see further and better. The elevation and windage adjustments are numbered which is a plus as it allows one to have known settings for different ammo.

BEST VALUE SCOPE
A friend told me about Firefield, but as you know we often distrust in low prices. It is extremely clear up to its 40x. It is light weight and looks strong constructed. Mounted on a .22lr will last forever.

Best buy I ever made in a scope.
I ordered this scope for my AR-15 and it is great! It is very clear and I can see .223 holes at over 100 yds.
I can't believe all the features at such a low price. My son also bought two of these one for him and one for his
wife. I highly recommend it.
