Good smooth feel during sweep and no spring/detent as indicated by picture.
Solid safety selector that operates properly in both 90 and 50 degree sweep. Only down side is price and the scalloped cutouts are slightly sharp when operating with bare hands. Used in American Resistance/Black Rifle Company AR9 lower and fit perfectly. Was not compatible with Fostech Echo binary ...

Too high and missing components
I'm absolutely disappointed as ever once again when trying to find the perfect size safety lever was so irritated with many others that I said screw it and ordered this high dollar concoction. The package came with no detente like stated or springs and definitely not no Allen wrench it needed to scr...

Fortis Quality
I have been working on a couple of builds and Fortis is my choice for quality material. It was a little strange to install but it looks great.
Pros:
- Looks great
- Fit and finish
- Functional
Cons:
- awkward installation
Best Used for:
- AR15 upgrade
Would recommend: Yes
Nice design -BAD quality control
I bought this for the ambidextrous layout and the material. That's the PRO part of this which is why they got at least 2 stars.
The CONS -
1. This is supposed to be a 50/90 safety selector. The core that I recieved is a 50 only. The print INSIDE the package says 50/90 pre-cut options. So this was packaged with the wrong core.
2. The idea of the inset lock screws is fine... mine even came with the allen key that it was supposed to include. I did NOT receive the detent or spring either...small aggrevation but I have spares.
3. The inset screws CAN strip easily if you are not careful and do not use the right allen key.
I will be fighting with the vendor on this one, but I won't buy this again. The fact that people are receiving their package with random parts missing is deplorable. Sub-par quality control and attention to detail made this cool concept an abismal experience.

Use imagination for installation.
Upon receiving this safety selector, it looked pretty well built. Now, getting it installed. There are zero, nada, zilch, instructions included or even videos to show how to install this properly. There was one video, but it was almost like an overview of each of the safeties from Fortis Manuf. themselves. The guy fumbled through the short video and expeditiously went through trying to set it up. Yes, I installed it in about five minutes. Most of that time was trying to figure out how to align for the 50 degree. I wish the safeties would have been a bit more longer. I gotta get use to it, but it kind of feels like a small block Lego piece. Well, that is what's cool. If you don't like it, trade up and buy a new one you might like. The nice thing was the affordability, ease of installation (NEED INSTRUCTIONS, though), well built.

Excellent Ambidextrous Safety
Well made great finish on everything. Have purchased 3 of these in different colors happy with all of them. Nice to have 50 or 90 degree option. Some of the other reviews complained about sharp edges I have no idea why. I found all 3 to be very comfortable to use with out gloves not is not even possible to cut yourself on the edges of the safety I tried. Also its not overly complicated to install. The best designed ambidextrous safety I have installed and used no chance for a little set scew loosening little drop of loctite 100% good to go.
Would recommend: Yes
Over engineered and grub screw stripped out meaning I had to drill them out
Wouldn't recommend, good idea, bad execution. Feels nice, but I stripped out the tiny grub screws meaning I had to drill it out. Also it's overy complicated. I would recommend a better ambi system especially for the price.
Pros:
- feels nice
Cons:
- Easily stripped grub screws
Would recommend: No
Not a big fan. Will swap out eventually
Like another review, the scalloped cuts I assume were intended to improve grip are way too sharp. Safety is nearly useless unless you're wearing leather gloves or have heavy calluses. This, along with the lofty price would prevent me from using or recommending it to anyone. And I'm a huge Fortis fan. They're great people and (typically) make awesome products. They missed the mark here though.

NO SAFETY DETENT OR SPRING
I'm sure it works as a safety selector, but I wouldn't know because I can't install it since it DIDN'T COME WITH THE PARTS IT SAID IT SHOULD HAVE. All it came with was an allen wrench for some reason.
Pros:
- Great color
Cons:
- Didn't come with the products LISTED IN THE DESCRIPTION
Best Used for:
- sitting next to your lower and not being used
Would recommend: No
