The Dewey line of cleaning rods set the standard for all cleaning rods. Dewey Nylon Coated Rod
I have used different brands of rods over the years and have settled on Dewey Nylon Coated rods. I was initially worried that the plastic coating would cut, peel, or just wear out. Those concerns were unjustified as my oldest coated rod is over 20 years old and still going strong. I currently have 7 Dewey rods for different applications and will not buy any other brand for at-home use. I consider my Dewey rods a sound investment.

Quality tool
These are very well-made cleaning rods. The components seem to be made from quality materials. The nylon coating gives the rod a nice smooth surface. The handle feels like it is riding on ball bearings to allow the cleaning rod to go down the bore without any binding.

Perfect for a 22 pistol
All of my rods are Dewey, so I knew what to expect. Mine (22C-12) arrived in good shape, with a jag, and is the perfect size for my 22 pistols. Even long enough for cleaning a Ruger MKII from the breach. Not much flex, the coating seems to hold up well, threads are well made. Recommended.

Nylon coated cleaning rod.
This cleaning rod works great. It’s made it so much easier to clean my rifles not to mention quicker. The rod it’s self is sturdy.
I do wish that the handle was as a little longer.
Cleaning rod comes does come with a jag and make to female adapter for brush’s.

Packaging was poor on OP part
This cleaning rod was packaged in a box that was 2 oversized boxes taped together and the the rod was rattling around. The box got crushed and bent the rod, I was able to straighten it as best I could. Still has a wobble when rotated. They should have put it in a round hardened tube with packing material. As far as the Dewey product they get 5 stars but I only gave it 4 stars due to Optics Planet budget cutting in the shipping department. For those that buy these or any cleaning rods insist on proper packaging otherwise you may get the same result I did.

Hard to beat Dewey
What can I say that hasn't already been said? I have Dewey's .30 cal and .22 cal rods and they're absolutely ideal for my applications. They seem a bit pricey, but certainly in line with other brands.

Dewey Nylon Coated Cleaning Rods
Love my new Dewey Nylon Cleaning Rod. Don't have to worry about damaging the barrel with the nylon protective coating. Also can't say enough about the Dewey Nylon Bristle cleaning brush. Don't know how I got along without it for all these years. Going to be ordering two or three more. I've always had good luck with all Dewey products.

Good rod for cleaning my Browning Buckmark
Would have given a 5 but there was not plastic tube case for protection in my tool drawer. Other than that, it works as expected. Purchased the 8-32 thread adapter. This gives me another cleaning rod for my other handguns.

Dewey Rods are the best in the Business
I am sucker for quality equipment and tools. This rod spell quality from the handle to the fiberglass rod tip. All of the attachments are a perfect fit and jags are quality as well. The rod has some flex but stiff enough to get the job done. You won't forget who makes this great rod because Dewey is emblazoned on its handle. This isa tool guaranteed to last you a lifetime.
