Had the same problem. Thinking about machining it down a little bit but if I do if I didn't may break it may not if I mail it down. But I also went back to the factory firing pin but the pen that I have was from faxton along with my bolt and bolt carrier

This should be the standard. Much stronger than steel and less weight. The specs are right on. While I know a cheap steel fire pin works for most uses. This pin takes it to another level. I believe this will outlast every other part on your AR. I have dropped steel pins on a concrete floor while cleaning and they never shoot the same again. Well work the cost. I have seven AR's of various calibers and everyone has a titanium pin in it. Wish they made more parts in titanium.

I trust JP Enterprises philosophy on building rifles. JP quality is second to none, haven’t failed me yet, so when I purchased a Rubber City Titanium Skeletonized BCG to replace my JP LMOS BCG, I naturally chose this JP firing pin to shave every gram possible and still maintain the highest standard.

Put 500 rounds down the range with this new firing pen zero issues couldn’t tell any difference, but that’s what I was after.

I replaceed a bent firing pin in one of my BCA AR10 uppers. It fits well and works great. Not: this is not the high pressure pin.

Not much to say but JP products are great and reliable. I bout this because you should always have spare parts right? I been using JP parts are products for awhile and they are solid. That being said this was a spare because mine is still going strong even after a couple thousand rounds.

Does not fit Armalite AR-10B series rifles built in Geneseo, IL.
Profile is different, and firing pin doesn’t protrude enough. I didn’t bother test firing, the difference is visually noticeable.
Forgot that AR-10’s have a firing pin spring unlike the AR-15, so I’m not too disappointed. I bought a titanium pin for my AR-15 at the same time since I was concerned about slam fire with commercial primers after installing a Geissele super 42 higher strength buffer spring and JP Enterprises low friction gas ring on my Geissele enhanced BCG. The lighter titanium pin is less likely to slam fire a sensitive primer. The AR-10 firing pin spring mitigates this possibility.
Pros:
- Faster lock time
- less chance of slam firing
Cons:
- Does not work on ArmaLite AR-10B series
