High quality bolt
I’ve been slowly building out a 30 year old 10/22 with Kidd parts and I will say this bolt is really nice. The scalloped design looks flawless and is really smooth in the action. Paired with my ultra light Kidd barrel my 10/22 is a tack driver. Never disappointed with Kidd products.

Kidd Bolt Review
The bolt looks great and looks to be machined well. The scalloping is a nice touch. Whipped quickly, however packaging of the item was poor. The item was thrown loosely into a thin bubble mailer. The manufacturers packaging was damaged and the bolt was loosely tumbling around within the bubble mailer. Disappointed in the packaging.

Save your money buy Kidd.
Phenomenal marching gun is very reliable. My 10/22 was running fine before with the original bolt but I have Kidd's barrel and trigger and I had to complete the riddle with all Kidd. I made the mistake of not buying Kidd at first, Green mountain barrel, Ruger bolt and a BX trigger it shot ok maybe 1.25 MOA not bad but not what I'm looking for. Switch everything out and this gun with SK long range averaged .37 out of 10 groups! That is very accurate for a 10/22. Save your money buy Kidd it's worth the extra coin.
Pros:
- reliable
- Machine Precision made very nice no sharp edges
Cons:
- None

Kidd Quality - Optics Planet Pricing
Doing a 10/22 clone build and I wanted to use a Kidd bolt. Waited for a sale at OP, got the scalloped bolt for price of the plain one. It's Kidd so I know it will work great. Comes with extractor and firing pin, so a simple upgrade. Does not include buffer pin or charging handle. I recommend picking up a Kidd charging handle kit at the same time; the charging handle cutout is a little different with Kidd to be more forgiving during installation (good video on this on Kidd website). Also Kidd charging handle comes with a variety of springs for different purposes and tuning your 10/22.
Can't speak to compatibility with all receivers as this is going in a Kidd receiver.

Excellent Upgrade
The machine work, fitment, and finish of this bolt is excellent. The rear radius that pushes the hammer is very well polished. The little things that Kidd does like tool steel firing pin and extractor are definitely improvements to factory stampings. The harden pin to prevent firing pin movement will make each primer strike exactly the same every time. The scallops look great and actually reduce friction a bit... but mostly they really look cool. I have a Kidd bolt without the scallops and now I wish it had the scallops!
One thing that is different from a factory bolt is the extractor spring and plunger does not move as far rearward. If you have a TandemKross extractor tool to pull and hold the extractor plunger and spring back while removing the extractor, it won't work with the Kidd bolt. That is not unique to Kidd bolts because other aftermarket bolts I've tried are the same. It's not a big deal if you use a pin punch to disassemble the extractor components or, if you are a machinist like me, you can make one similar to the TK tool that works for the Kidd bolt.
Overall, I am very happy with the Kidd bolt and think is an excellent upgrade. There are a lot of little things that Kidd does to improve the factory bolt and they all add up to a real improvement that is well worth the cost.
