I own a rather extensive array of Leupold Optics. I wanted to purchase a spotting scope for longer range work. After researching spotting scopes to the point of sensory overload, this scope was my choice. Thus far I have not been disappointed! Due to local weather I have not been able to take it to the range, however experimenting with it in the neighborhood I am extremely happy with my decision and purchase.
Further be advised that once again the assistance provided by the staff ( Jesica ) at Optics Planet was another determining factor in this purchase! I have made several purchases with Optics Planet and have NEVER been disappointed with the assistance provide by the staff to a person they are all extremely well versed in their products and very helpful with their clients.
Thank you Leupold and Optics Planet.

Percision scope haven't taken it to the range but if set it up learning about the ballistic redicle.... Glass even at 60 power it's very clear with easy adjustments. Reticle is not too busy and I hope it will allow adjustments on the fly to help with long-term accuracy.it is expensive but certainly cheaper than high in German glass!!

I have not used it, but it has a demand from my buyer so that it will be not ordinary things among other device or competitor. Besides that, it is waterproof and easy to handle.is comfortable even during extended periods of use thanks to the long eye relief and a lightweight, armored magnesium body. Plus the waterproof nitrogen filled design means performance in the worst of weather. The Leupold Mark-4 Spotting Scope features exterior lens surfaces treated with DiamondCoat2, an ion-assist lens coating, for higher light transmission and the greatest level of abrasion resistance. DiamondCoat already exceeds military standards for hardness and durability. Leupold Mark Waterproof Scope allows you to hunt longer and further into twilight than ever before with Xtended Twilight Lens System. It goes a step further than the Index Matched Lens System, using Leupold's index matched glass with wavelength specific lens coatings designed to optimize the transmission of low-light wavelengths. When Leupold combines the visual spectrum with superior computer-generated optical design, lead-free lenses of unsurpassed clarity and quality, and 100 years of manufacturing excellence, you have the Leupold Mark 20-60x 80mm Spotting Scope, which gives you the details of low-light scenes in greater definition and luminance than any other scope in the world.

Well built. Has a nice cover. The scope is compact. Optics are pretty clear at low power but are a little cloudy at high power. The focus and zoom are a little hard to turn so two hands are required to operate the scope.
Overall a very good scope.

This is the second spotting scope I've purchased through OP. First one (different brand) arrived damaged by UPS and was sent back. Had plenty of time to review it and experiment. I wasn't pleased with the product even though it wasn't a cheap one. Received the Leupold and although it was more expensive the quality was immediately obvious. I have other Leupold rifle scopes and have stuck with Leupold because so far everything I've bought has lived up to the brand. The scope is heavy (which I expected) and deserves a sturdy mount. It does come with a tough tight fitting cover of very good quality. I wish the opening that allows access to the scope mounting base was larger as my tripod base plate has to be mounted outside of the cover squeezing the material between the scope base and tripod base. The power adjustment is tight and requires two handed operation but it is reassuring that the scope is water proof. I wish it came with a travel case for better protection over and above just the scope cover. It's a lot of $$$$ but you get what you pay for. Love it!

This spotting scope performs as advertised however at this price point I was expecting a little better usability in terms of focusing. I have to use two hands when focusing. One to steady the scope and the other to turn the focus ring. I would have preferred a separate easy to turn focus knob.
Pros: TMR reticle, optics quality, padded case
Cons: Weight, stiff focus dial, price
