Awesome for 95% of your hunting
The optics are top notch, as good as most Euro's at many times the price. Quality is tops as is brightness. Don't overlook a fixed power. It is lighter, brighter and simple to use - less to break. At 6X, it covers most big game hunting situations from up close to 250+ yards and nothing to "fiddle" with. Love the LR reticle, it gives you three aim points for drop compensation, simple and effective. All this and made in US with a lifetime warranty - tough to beat. Buy it. And biuy it form OP, great customer support. Good hunting.

Leupold FX-3 6x42 scope
Just what you would expect from Leupold. A sharp image within a beautiful body. The Gold ring says it all. I needed a lower power scope for one of my .22’s, and this one is perfect for the job. Super sharp image with reliable tracking.

Prefect scope
One of the best scopes I have ever owned.very clear, pulls the perfect amount of light for what I intended it for. This is the perfect scope for a mid range rifle. Going to be used for coyotes and predators. Seems very durable and I like the no hassle warranty unlike other companies.

No nonsense excellence
This scope is very basic, but has excellent optical clarity for a no nonsense, no bells & whisles, scope. I had one previously which I put on a 300 win magnum. This one is going on a 30-06. It is great for medium ranges and not bad for longer shots.

Leopoldo scope

Great scope!
This was a gift but he was so happy with the amount of light the scope collected. He’s guesstimated that he would be able to hunt an extra 30-45 minutes later into the evening with this scope. He was also extremely pleased with the quality of the glass. Exactly what he wanted.

Great Scope at a Great Price
Was looking for a solid fixed zoom scope and sure enough, Optics Planet had the FX-3 on sale for $359.99. I love Leupold and have it on half of my rifles. They are solid brand, provide a great service with the product t and this scope is Crystal clear. Even up close, I can focus on the individual grass blades and then immediately go far out and focus in on my target without having to adjust

Great Scope for the money
New to long distance shooting and this is my first long distance scope. Great clarity and illumination. I have shot it out to 220 yards, and can see the target well but not the thin rings. At 220 yards on a white back ground you can see the bullet holes. 100 yards is no problem. I choose the fixed focal length for durability and have not needed any adjustable magnification. Leupold support is awesome. They responded quickly via email to my numerous questions. I even dropped Hoppes bore cleaner on the lens, and cleaned it off with Bausch and Lomb lens cleaner, and no problem. Leupold support recommended alcohol and said the Bausch and Lomb was just as good. The negative is that Leupold does not make a 42mm objective lens cover for it. Very happy with the scope for the price.

Leupold FX3 6x42: great balance of power, light transmission and simplicity
The FX3 6x42 is an ideal scope for hunting in the woods, fields and open prairies. It offers reasonable magnification for reasonable yardage (<200 yards), great light transmission and simplicity as you don't have to worry about messing with a magnification ring. The "less stuff I have to worry about" benefit allows me to concentrate on placing and making the shot...not the perfect magnification. The scope's 100% no fault guarantee works as Leupold stands behind their product and their service is second to none. Sure, you can can 2 to 3 times more for a German or Austrian scope but why?

First FX-3 rifle scope
I have numerous VX-3 scopes, but this is my first FX-3. I was going for a vintage Winchester 70 rifle, but wanted modern optics. This scope has the great optics I am used to with the VX-3 line. I really like the simplicity of not have a power ring to worry about when hunting. 6x is a good compromise for long range deer hunting on the northern plains.

Excellent Glass
I have a couple of these, and they are great glass for the price. Clear, bright optics, they track and hold zero well, and have been exceptionally sturdy on hard kicking rifles. Think long and hard if you really need a variable scope, as most of the time I just leave mine on one setting.
