Amazing scope for the money
I was looking for a good medium to long range scope for my AR-10, and was ready to spend around $1,000. I have some great German and US glass and had previously only used Leupold, Zeiss, Trijicon and US Optics.
While I realized that this $400 scope would not take the place of the $1,500-2,500 gl...

Issues out of the box
Read the propaganda and decided to try. Out of the box the tube did not appear true. Convinced myself it was an illusion. It was not. Mounted scope with zero difficulty, and used a torque wrench to tighten rings. Whe scope was canted, there was as an air gap between the objective bell and the hand guard. With scope aligned horizontally, the air gap was less than a hair’s width . All good until the barrel heated up. POI shifted and scope lost nitrogen charge. Perhaps extra high rings? Anyway, my bad for attempting an out of aligned scope. Also, initial turret adjustments require pliers…think I’m joking? Go to Lucid’s website for their hints to free tight turrets.
Pros:
- Nice packaging
Cons:
- Flawed
- Flawed upon receipt
Best Used for:
- Rubber band gun
- Water gun

Do not buy!!!
I purchased a lucid 6-24x50 and had problems from the start. I sent it back to lucid. When I got the scope back, it had a piece of trash on the inside of the lens. I had to send it back again so the trash could be removed. When adjusting the turrets, you lift and turn and then push back down to lock the turret in place, just like a lot of brands. However, with this scope you have to push so hard it feels like something is not aligned correctly but the turret does lock with a lot of force. This was my first lucid and my last. I’ve seen better quality in $200 scopes.
Pros:
- None
- Retic
Cons:
- Everything in the box
Best Used for:
- boat anchor

Very good value
Bright optics, clear crosshairs, especially like side parallax adjustment. Another plus is that I live close to the seller and have met him at gun shows. The company takes the time to source only quality products. I also have two of their red dot sights, had a problem with one of them and Lucid replaced with newer version, and was happy to do it. I believe they are determined to sell quality products, not quantity.

Lucid Review
I was looking for a scope that had good glass and wasn't going to cost the earth.
I looked around for a few months and a friend said he sore the lucid.
I had a look on line and then contacted the guys and asked them some questions about the scope and from the info they gave me I decided to get the L5 6-24x50 and I haven't regretted it one bit.
It's a great scope for my 223 and it hasn't skipped a beat.
If your looking for a good scope give Lucid a try.

Great product!!
I mounted my new Lucid scope on top of my Christensen Ridgeline yesterday and took a trip to the range. I'm extremely happy with the clarity, focus, and precise adjustments incorporated with the 1/8 moa click turrets. The focus is great throughout the zoom range. I can't say there is a negative thing to say about this scope. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a quality scope at a phenomenal price tag.
Pros:
- Everything about it
Cons:
- none so far
Best Used for:
- Target and hunting

Lucid Advantage 6-24x50mm Sniper Scope w/ 30mm Tube & L5 Reticle
the scope looks good has clear optics, I have not put it on rifle yet but I did notice the moa lines are very fine and light & when I held scope up it was easy to loose them in some backgrounds. the scope has plenty of moa marks below zero but none above zero so if you need to hold under you have no marks.
Pros:
- Price
Cons:
- None

Lucid L5 Scope
The Lucid L5 6-24x50mm scope hits the mark! The sight picture is clear, the turret clicks are crisp and have a tactile feel. The return to zero is excellent. For me, the eye relief while in the prone position, is perfect.
When the need for another precision scope arises, the Lucid L5 will be the top contender.

Lucid L5 review
The optics are very clear and gather light well. The turrets are in 1/8 increments but there is 50MOA in the windage and elevation adjustments. Overall it is what I expected for the price. The company is too young (2009) to have any reports on the warranty.
