Most Helpful Positive Review Solid shooting platform, room for minor improvements, but great value!
So adding to my MTM collection of accessories was the High-Low Shooting Table. Since I go to recreation area where there are no tables, stands, or any kind of accommodations I always have to bring the kitchen sink. I took this out last weekend and definitely am glad I bought it. Due to the terrain (desert mostly), I appreciated taking shots off the ground and not having dust and debris being blown my face or the action. Adjustability, lightweight and ease of setup are all factors that make this a great buy. Given the price, my cons are really personal nitpicks and do not at all take away from...

MTM High-Low Shooting Table- AWESOME

by capjc, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on January 4, 2026
What a find? I have been looking for a shooting bench to fit my needs for a long time. After building a shooting bench I have had for 40 years, it was time for another reliable bench, one that was light weight for easy carry, rock solid like I am use too, well designed and portable. The MTM High-Low Shooting Table fits the bill and more. It also has barrel cut outs for propping your gun; the table allows for either LH or RH shooters. The table has a raised edge to keep everything on the bench not on the ground. It is affordable and adjustable from extremely low to high positions at no loss of stability. I looked at all bench’s out there and nothing came close. All the others were either to heavy for comfortable carry, too pricey, an option that was not a deal breaker, but it had to check the rest of my boxes. A seat was not my need I, since seats are easy to come by. I built my on mobile one with all the carry accessories; but the bench had to be the primary thing. The MTM High-Low Shooting Table is it, bar none, and nobody paid me to give this survey; I usually pass them up. If you are looking for a great shooting table, don’t look any further. Happy shooting! - J. Cook

Versitile Shooting Table

by Chris, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on August 5, 2024
This table is an excellent solution for zeroing and shooting supported in a seated position. This table allows you to use a chair of any height. Note that while instructions state it is not for use on concrete it is very stable on pavement and other hard but porous surfaces. Also great for uneaten and sloped surfaces. Well worth the money.

Great Product!

by Rmeyerwy, from WY, United States Written on November 14, 2022
I bought this to use for praire dog shooting. Other fellers in my group used chairs and shooting sticks, bipods, etc., didnt take long
and they wanted to give it at try, they were amazed at how solid steady they could get, I but a bag up front and a small rear bag in back
and it gets rock solid. I can swivel it around some, or change positions, unlevel ground is no problem, frozen ground, it dont matter.
You do have to watch the points on the bottom, they are sharp!. Oh the guys in my group, yea guess what, they all went to one as well!

Standing up or sitting down it will give you a good solid base to shoot off of. I dont always trust the leaning a gun up against it, but as long as you have the table screwed down so it dont twist, it works. Straps could be a bit heavier duty but thats easy enough. I have 2 seasons on it and its still as good as new.

Awesome Shooting Table, and Price!!

by David Lucas, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on July 28, 2021
Absolutely the best shooting table available!! I have tried several different styles. This table, the sturdiness, and adjustability is by far better than any I’ve found. The tripod can be adjusted for level shooting, even on the roughest terrain. I purchased the table thru OpticsPlanet.com, the price they had, and free shipping made it an excellent purchase!!! Very happy with this table, and at a great price!!
Pros:
  • Very well designed and built
Cons:
  • Nothing I can think of

A Lot to Like, a Couple of Things Not So Much

by Eric K, Verified Owner from NM, United States Written on March 14, 2021
The MTM High-Low Shooting Table sets up quickly and simply. There’s no problem pushing the spiked feet into the ground, thanks to textured foot pads on each leg. I’m not sure how well this will set up on solid rock. Once set, the table top connects to the stand with a single knob. The cam-lever catches on the telescoping legs make leveling the top an easy task, and the screw-clamps tighten to insure everything stable and secure.

Takedown is also a breeze, and the whole unit stows in a fairly small space. It’s easy to get it in and out of the car.

I like the I attached carry sling. It includes a strap that buckles around the legs when the stand is collapsed. There is no adjustment slide on the strap, however, so the legs are held loosely, and clatter a bit.

My biggest disappointment is the hook arrangement for hanging a stabilizing weight. The wire gauge of the bail is fairly small. Worse, there is no positive attachment to the table, instead horizontal spring pressure holds it in place; the first time I tried to hang a weight from it, the hook and bail pulled free.

All in all, it’s a decent table, especially for the price, and I’m especially appreciative that it’s made in America.
Pros:
  • good value
  • Easy setup
  • Solid and Stable
Cons:
  • Minor Design Issues

MTM High-Low Shooting Table review;

by sturmovik, from WY, United States Written on March 6, 2020
I bought this table to replace my broken Caldwell Magnum Fieldpod and so far I haven't been disappointed. The table locks up solid and takes only a couple of minutes to set up compared to the item I replaced it with and considerably lighter. My only complaint is the reinforcing on the tapered end of the table could have been better to reduce flex, but in order to keep it light and portable I assume they had to make concessions. I just hope it stands up to the abuse I put these products through!?

As usual OpticsPlanet shipped quickly and was received in good order. Thank you OpticsPlanet.
Pros:
  • decent price
  • light but solid
Cons:
  • Bulky

Good portable table. Not the penultimate shooting bench but has unique versatility for the price

by Chipguy, from TX, United States Written on January 30, 2020
I was considering building a portable shooting table but after pricing the materials like plywood, pipe flanges, pipe, etc the materials cost alone was rapidly approaching a hundred dollars plus my time. I looked at a lot of commercial benches and reviews over the last year and had had not seen this table until recently. The few reviews were pretty good and I liked the fact I could use it sitting or standing and the size was just a little smaller than I had planned building. I took a chance and ordered one.

It arrived in a fairly large box that is more unwieldy than heavy and there is a lot of dead space in it but it survived shipping well. There are only two parts - the table top and leg assembly.

I had a chance to test it with some friends this past weekend and initially I was concerned about the single attachment point and whether the table would be steady. Once tightened down and the leg spikes driven well into the ground the table top is remarkable steady and does not flex very much. My friends were impressed by how stable it was after expressing the same initial skepticism I had.

Cons - It is not large enough to handle my full compliment of gear including rifle, rest, chronograph, pressure trace, laptop, etc but it is good for hauling out for an impromptu session of sighting in or prairie dog hunting.

Pros - Overall I think it is a good value. It has versatility in the height adjustment. It is relatively stable once the spike are driven in. I would recommend it perh...

Solid value solid bench rest.

by David, from IN, United States Written on September 26, 2018
Infinite heights to be comfortable calibrating your scope. From 36 yards 2 overlapping shots. Tune the scope and try 2 more. Saves a lot of ammo and time. I love the fit and finish of the tripod. Best to assemble with table upside down to see a centered connection. Gently screw fastener snug and it is ready to use. Thanks for a quality product.
Best Used for:
  • Bench and field shooting
