Most Helpful Positive Review Versatile Vertical Grip (VVG)
The Samson Mlok vertical grip is a versatile and practical addition to any rifle setup. One of its standout features is the ergonomic design, which promotes a natural grip when shouldering the rifle in the correct form. This not only enhances control but also aids in managing recoil, making it an excellent choice for those looking to improve their shooting accuracy. The two-piece design of the Samson vertical grip is another compelling feature. This design allows you to remove the grip from the rifle while leaving the attachment lug in place. This aspect is especially valuable when it comes t...

Rock-Solid Control: Samson Long Grenade M-LOK Vertical Grip Sources

by Patrick McKenna, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on May 1, 2026
The Samson MLOK Vertical Grip Long Grenade in black was exactly what I was looking for on a fast, hard running AR. The long length gives me a secure, full hand purchase, which really pays off when I am sending 30 rounds in a couple seconds. The grenade style machining is not just cosmetic. The texture locks into the hand and keeps the rifle under control without feeling sharp or abrasive. Build quality is excellent: it’s solid metal, not cheap polymer, with a robust feel that matches the rest of a quality build. Installation on my MLOK handguard was straightforward, locks up rock solid, and hasn’t loosened under rapid fire. A nice bonus is that it also just looks great – that classic grenade profile really completes the rifle’s aesthetic. Overall, this grip greatly improves control, confidence, and handling, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one.
Pros:
  • Made in the USA.
  • Excellent control under rapid fire and mag dumps, especially with the long length.
  • Aggressive grenade-style texturing that really locks into the hand without feeling sharp.
  • Looks great and complements modern AR builds aesthetically
  • All metal 6061 T6 aluminum construction with hard anodized finish. Feels extremely durable.
  • Rock solid MLOK attachment with a two piece design that lets you remove the grip without pulling the mount.
Cons:
  • Heavier than polymer foregrips due to the all-metal construction.

Battle ready

by k-Roll, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on April 24, 2026
First the "Delta's":
1. To install you first attach the MLOK base, then mate the grip onto the base in the grip channel and turn the knurled knob until tight. My problem here is, this know can come loose as there is no curved or lock washer to ensure it stays locked up. After realizing it was loose at the range I considered "STAKING" the knob to the body but this would require a small recess to be cut into the grips body. For now, I use medium loc-tite and really reef down on it.
2. Changing it's location isn't like throwing the lever of a QD style grip. I didn't think this would bother me, but while training at the range I realized I had placed the grip too far forward. The adjustment would have involved a wrench to break the knob loose, then removing the base with its Mlok screws. Then reverse. It's at this point that I realized the versatility of a QD lever style grip.

POSITIVES:
1. This thing is solid without being overly heavy.
2. The lock up is solid (Although I did have one instance where the knob came loose, This MAY have been operator error, IDK).
3. Price. It is right there in the sweet spot where its not ridiculous like the other popular brand accessories, but you pay enough to have confidence in the product,

RECCOMMENDATIONS:
A. Devise some sort of mechanism that ensures the knob will not break loose.
B. Develop a model that has a QD base. This way someone who owns multiple grips ALREADY can buy one or two and easily swap grips as they deem necessary. Ju...

Solid feel with quick release.

by JL, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on April 24, 2026
I know they're a bit heavier than other foregrips, but I really like their solid feel. I also like the fact that they can be removed so easily without any tools, leaving only the mounting lug. It's a quality made product, that was well engineered. I guess that's why I have about five of them now.

great size for a good C clamp on rail

by TJ, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on March 3, 2026
I would definitely say this is a major upgrade from the BCM, Magpul or B5 vertical grips. The short size is perfect for a C grip on a MCMR rail and the method of attaching is pretty nice because it basically goes on like Mlok and then threads on like a KAC grip.
