I bought this carrier directly from shellback tactical when it was on sale. Used it in the field with my steel plates for several months now. Not sure what this other reviewers beef is with this PC, it's normal size for a PC w/ fully adjustable cumberbund and shoulder straps. I'm not the smallest guy and had to tighten it up quite a bit. Stitching is more than satisfactory, holds my heavy steel plates with no problem. It's made of quality material, licensed multicam. It's not a Chinese "knockoff" or airsoft grade carrier. It's just a basic, affordable, quality PC from a reputable company in the great state of South Carolina. It's the same high quality materials used in other Shellback products including other PC'S and mag pouches ect.

I'm going to first address the two 1 star rating given by same reviewer who claims they received a fake not made in the USA Shellback carrier. OP and Shellback have never advertised this particular carrier as being made in the USA. Shellback does have products that are made in the USA, but not specifically this item. I bought this with another Shellback Cartier that had a storage bag and coated the same price. I returned that one because it was not as robust as this one. This one has cummerbund that come standard. The shoulder padding thicker but marginally. The Velcro had better contact and Felt more comfortable than the other one. The other one had storage bag and mag pockets which I didn't care for. Over all this carrier is a good option when compared with others in the same price range.

Shellback Tactical claims that their products are %100 made in the USA. This product is made in China. For those of you that have not found the label... flip open your plate carrier compartment flaps and take a look inside. If you search, where is Shellback made, on your phone or computer, you will find that everything pertaining to Shellback states, it is made in the USA with no indication that they outsource any of their products. For this simple fact I am stating that this is a fake/knockoff/not an authentic product.

For those that do not care... the product itself is weak, flimsy, cheap, and small compared to U.S. sizes. The canvas is not thick like it should be and the stitching seems to be thin. Yes it looks nice and would probably hold up for a couple of weeks, but I will not be utilizing this for my overseas endeavors. If you are going to be one of those weird people that paintball with a plate carrier or do some other activity using a plate carrier when it is completely unnecessary then this would work for you.

In conclusion... if you are a real militant please do not risk your life with this plate carrier. If you endeavor in childs-play as an adult without having your own children and you still live at home with your parents while in your late twenties or older, then by all means, take the chance.
