Most Helpful Positive Review Great Grips
Purchased this as upgrade for my early 90's vintage West German made P226 9mm. Some of the grip screw inserts have stripped out of the frame, so I wanted to try an alternate solution to thread repair solutions such as Helicoils. I had read up on the E2 mod for older models and knew to purchase new style "L-shaped" trigger bar spring and the shorter new style mainsprings (hammer springs) for the shorter new style hammer strut included with this kit. I chose Wolf 19# (light) and 21# (stock weight) springs to try out for trigger feel. All went together well - the grip was a challenge to coax in...

Small change makes a huge difference

by Shane Webb, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on March 28, 2019
Seems like a small change, but the entire feel of the pistol has improved. I disliked the original grips as they felt overly large for my liking. These are a tad thinner but it's a world of difference. I have reconsidered selling the P226 and it's now one of my favorites!

Use on old WG Sig

by Stone, from NC, United States Written on March 25, 2019
Got it for an old WG Sig, think the date code shows early 80's. The kit had everything but the hammer spring and trigger bar spring. The hammer spring on the older model was looongggg compared to any other Sig I've installed this kit on. The trigger are spring was the old "c" bent paper clip design... will not work with E2 grips.
Pros:
  • straightforward installation and operation
Cons:
  • None

Great grip for smaller hands

by John Ross, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on October 24, 2018
This grip is a very nice modification for a P226 if you have average sized hands. I have a P226 Elite with Hogue G10 grips and they felt a bit too large. The texture on this grip is less aggressive than the G10 but still aggressive enough to give a good solid grip. Fit and finish are great and shipping was as advertised.

Cons:
  • No instructions provided(online instructions)

MK25 Upgrade

by Dave, from AK, United States Written on July 4, 2018
The grip on the MK25 is not too good for people with small hands. The E2 grip is way better IMO due to the absence of screws, the texture and the smaller size. It is a pain to get on and off but it is better than stripping screws or having them walk out. The good news is that the MK25 already has the hammer spring base that the E2 grip requires, but i am unsure about the decocker. Better to just replace that one too.
Pros:
  • Size and texture
Cons:
  • price
Best Used for:
  • P226

Sig P226 E2 Grip

by Princetredo, from CA, United States Written on June 21, 2018
Very good grips. Makes holding the P226 feel nice with my medium sized hands. Easy installation in 10 minutes. There were parts that came with the kit that I did not have to use. On my newer 226 I did not have to use the decocker or hammer spring guide. My newer pistol already had them. Only thing I needed was the grip itself.
Pros:
  • EASY INSTALL
Cons:
  • None

Sig Sauer P226 e2

by Cory805, from CA, United States Written on April 24, 2018
These sig e2 grips fit better than the 2 piece grips no worrying about grip screws and good texture. Good for anyone will smaller hands or a better reach to the trigger. Also comes with the install/disassembly tool its a little tough at snug to get on and off you must keep an eye on the trigger spring and decocker spring not to dislodge them.

Grip review E2

by I like sig, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on March 16, 2018
Easy to replace. If you have a newer sig you won’t need to reload the hammer spring assembly. You’ll just have an extra one. Does feel better for me as I have medium hand grip. Awesome texture. Worth the money.

Sig srt kit and Sig E2 grip

by Alan, from IL, United States Written on March 12, 2018
These are the best products I could have installed on my P226 Mk25. They were easy to install and made noticeable improvements. I haven’t had a chance to range test them yet. But overall handling and dry fire test made a major improvement on the firearm.

by crankmike, from OK, United States Written on February 11, 2018
this is the best grip for the sig unless u have really long fingers it will help with your double action pull and overall feel of the gun. just a little tricky to get on but worth it. grip is gritty and has a good feel to it.
