Worked a lot better than of course the AP flash suppressor which sends a lot of muzzle noise back at the shooter. Helped some with the muzzle blast. Still probably need a suppressor. 20% better than standard on a 16 inch barrel AP AR10 308.
Pros:
- easy install and a mild improvement in pushing sound forward.
Best Used for:
- Muzzle sound contol. 20% better

Not only did I feel a reduction in recoil, but adding this on a 5” barrel really helped direct the blast forward. Highly recommend
Pros:
- Recoil Reduction
- Sound mitigation

It's a muzzle device. It looks neat and covers the threads. I'm not some seal team six professional and have no illusions that I am, so it's enough for me.

I bought this to use this with subsonic loads in a Ruger American Ranch rifle in 300 BO. Works very well! My neighbor was in his yard (about 100 yards off to the side) and said he thought I was loading lumber into the bed of my truck. Very effective for subsonic loads. Very nice build quality.

I bought it with an open mind that being said my Six8 SBR has a pretty excessive muzzle blast and is very loud after find about five or six shots with the compensator. It’s not too bad for me as a shooter but being on the line at range, it did make it easier on the people to the left or right of me so it works not as much as I had hoped, but it was better than it was before. I was hoping it’d be a little bit more robust, but you get what you pay for.

I purchased (1) Black & (4) Stainless Steel TacFire Linear Compensators - all in the .223/5.56 size. The bore diameter of the black compensator is 0.393", more suitable for 9 mm. The diameter of the SS compensators are 0.267", ideal for the .223/5.56.
I returned the black compensator in exchange for the SS. I hope I receive the same as the other four.
Cons:
- Black Bore is too big for .223/5.56.
Best Used for:
- Directing muzzle blast down range instead of sideways & backwards.

I just recently learned about linear compensators and decided to try the TacFire models because of reviews & price. I bought two: black one for my recently purchased Savage 110 Trail Hunter in .223 and its threaded barrel; and the other (SS) for my new BCA .22 WMR upper receiver. I took them both out this weekend (March 01) and the difference with the .223 was very noticeable. Even though the .223 has relatively less muzzle blast, the difference was in the amount of blast & pressure wave coming back to me as the shooter. The .22 WMR sounded like a .22 LR, being behind the muzzle blast.
By the way, both rifles shot sub-HALF-MoA.
I will recommend the linear compensators to those who shoot Match Rifles in High Power Rifle matches, as we shoot 88 rounds per match, and are fatigued by the barrage of pressure waves that hit us during the matches. The linear compensators will also benefit the shooters to either side of the shooter using the compensator.
Best Used for:
- Muzzle blast & pressure wave attenuation for shooter(s)
