the OEM sling mount is much more bulky then i had imagined,and much more difficult to install.if you have the newer style three prong carbine wrench,it wont work.the design of the sling mount prevents all three prongs from making contact with the castle nut.you absolutely need the older style single...

Standard for all my builds

Tried one of these sling mounts on my second AR build. I liked it so much that it has be come standard equipment on all of my AR’s. It is now an option for all of my customer builds who plan to utilize a single point sling. About 80% choose the option and I have not had one complaint.

Right QD port kind of blocks the forward assist

You can still push the forward assist with your thumb, but you can't really bump it with the heel of your hand. I know Eugene Stoner didn't even want a forward assist, blah blah. I'm just the messenger.

What can I say this is a very well built / solid high quality product and the installation is pretty strait forward. Product seems expensive but it does come with a high quality detachable swivel as well so once you add that in it is a reasonably priced item. Great to be able to add more sling attachment options depending on shooting needs. Very impressed with this item!

Great QD Baseplate

I have several of these Troy QD Base Plates installed on rifles. Like everything Troy, they are high quality in design and Materials. The plate allows for easy attachment and detachment of QD Stud, Is extremely secure and the provide Stud easily supports my AR-10 with ease.

Piece of junk

This item is garbage. Every one of the mounting points gets in the way of either operating the safety with your thumb or runs the sling in an uncomfortable position. Don’t waste your time, get a stock with a QD swivel in the rear by the but plate.

OEM M4 sling mount.

Excellent customer service. Quick tracking information.
This mount sling is very easy to install and is a plus in a three point sling, making very easy to carry the weapon in different positions.
It does not require any type of adjustment, because its design fits perfectly in the collapsible stock.
