Perfect in my Remington R-25 in .308 Winchester

I have this nickel-boron BCG in my Remington R-25 in .308 Winchester. I replaced the OEM blue BCG with the TRYBE nickel-boron version since the old bolt was getting sloppy and harder to clean. This one works like a silver jackhammer into my chamber, just perfectly. This gun is pretty big as carry guns go, and the bolt of a large frame AR is a hefty chunk of steel. This BCG has a beautiful silver finish and cleans easily after an outing. This is a hunting gun mostly, and a corrosion resistant BCG lets me get by with a bit less maintenance in the field than a nitride BCG. But for a build, the less-expensive nitride bolt may be the way to go. Oiling everything before and after use makes cleaning easy, especially with any number of modern CLP liquids.

Firing pin retaining pin too large

Firing pin retaining pin too large. If you get it out( for cleaning) you’ll never get it back in. You can see gnarl marks on it from first assembly from factory.

For the price, it was an excellent excellent deal. I got it for less than $90 per BCG for a 308 that’s fantastic. Plus the manufacturer does a great job of the finish on it and it was shipped very fast would recommend.

Failed headspace check on .308 with brand new Ballistic Advantage barrel/Aero Precision M5 upper

Would not recommend this BCG. After blowing out primers on the first three shots, I spent more money troubleshooting to find that the bolt failed the no-go gauge headspace check. Glad I lived through the test shots in the beginning. Would not recommend this bcg to anyone.
