5.56, eats everything well, became range invitee favorite
This upper is labeled #4 in a series of TRYBE builds. It's a basic 5.56 heavy barrel with with black nitride finish and A2 flash hider. I completed it with a TRYBE black chrome mil-spec BCG and TRYBE Magnite Charging handle. Those reviews are elsewhere. The whole package became a favorite of my range invitees because of the 1-8 TRYBE SLED scope on it and a TRYBE Enhancer on it. If you think this is kind of a TRYBE commercial, you're right. I like the stuff.
The #4 gun became a range favorite for new and newer shooters because the scope attracted them to it, not necessarily the gun. BUT, that's a pretty good thing, because the gun did what it was supposed to do: go bang when you pull the trigger, shoot a bullet consistently, and not burp in class.
I cleaned it out of the box and it needed it. I did not break it in or try to break it, but had 5 or 6 extended range sessions with it with a decent cleaning between rounds. I always use a bore guide and good equipment, never overlooking chamber cleaning and wet lubrication rather than not. The barrel has cleaned easily and may has a couple thousand rounds through it by now by a variety of people.
This #4 has eaten everything I've given it and I've been feeding it partial boxes of fodder to make room in the shop, but mostly bulk green tip and XM193. Not accuracy loads for sure, but this does shoot everything I've put in it well.

exactly what we wanted
We wanted to build 2 AR's and these are the perfect start!. The quality was great and so was the price!
We all ready had the bolt carrier groups and now we're saving for the lowers, but that shouldn't take too long.

Exactly What I Needed & Expected from Previous Experience
This semi-complete upper is what I needed and expected from my previous purchase of a TRYBE 16” 7.62x39 complete upper (MPN: UPPER16762X39). The uppers are identical with the exception of caliber. This upper just needs a .223/5.56/.300 BLK BCG and charging handle of your choice. I also plan to use it with my CMMG .22LR AR Conversion Kit. This upper is well-built with a nice HBAR 5R rifling barrel, which is the best part of the upper in my opinion. The fit is good but the finish is not…basic flat black matte that shows minor scratches to easily. Again, I expected this so no big deal. The 15” MLOK hand guard design with locking tabs is very nice so it offsets the finish. I recommend this as a good overall basic, entry-level upper.

This is one of the best all round value pieces I have bought in a long time thanks for producing and selling such good quality at tremendous value and very prompt delivery follow up was quick without being obtrusive

Tribe defense semi complete upper receiver, AR15 it's a home run very nice hand, guard, and upper for what it is. I was putting together a training AR for my wife and this checked all the boxes. We are very pleased with it shoots very nicely and pretty accurate and surprise me. I'm just hoping I can pick up another one before they sell out the only downfall I see if you're worried about something like that is the coding it doesn't have a top-of-the-line coding it's sort of a matte finish. They kind of shows every little blemish I've run my firearm, so that doesn't bother me but if you're looking for a show peace, this may not be for you unless you get it coated other than that I highly highly recommend it
