Who hasn't seen or used one of these things?
Very sturdy. Very handy. Stores all sorts of things, not just ammo.
I use one of mine to carry ammo to the range, the other for various odds and ends like cleaning kits, pistol targets, eye and ear protection, etc.

The latch is not tight, the product has rust, and not high quality. It works for holding ammo but not as nice as other options. My ammo box was been scratched up, rust on the top, and inside. Definitely Not Grade 1
Over the years I have bought many military surplus ammo cans in different sizes and in different grades so I’d like to think that I know what constitutes a grade 1. There is a little rust on every outside panel and also inside of the box and lid, most noticeable on the lid and latch. The color difference between the lid and the box says this is not as issued which is probably the reason the lid does not latch solidly every time, the fit is probably off a little. I could live with it if there was zero rust in the interior and if it closed solidly every time. Definitely not happy with this.

This is the real deal, .30 cal, milsurp ammo can. Not a new production, Chinese knock-off. Mine has the white, dot-matrix style of NATO writing on the side, rather than the yellow stenciling like the picture. A very trivial amount of rust at the handle attachment. I won’t even bother with it. The inside looks brand new. It’s so nice, it might be unissued. The paint is marred only where the moving parts make contact.

- Genuine milsurp, truly grade 1

- Used to be plentiful and dirt cheap
Best Used for:
- Storing stuff that fits inside, convenient carry

Came in good condition. Good seal with the rubber lining and the lid.i use it to store seven loaded AR mags with a bit of foam to stop them rattling and banging around.they can be a bit expensive when buying new. I wish I ordered more than one.
