Don’t recommend them
The cans where labeled as grade 1. The cans I got were the worst I ever seen. different color paint all over them Dents all over. not grade one. Am not happy with them. Junk junk junk junk junk junk junk junk
Great but whats that smells??
�First the description that optics planet gave was fair. They also stated that they were used, and only going to be sold for a limited time. I purchased one for my Slug rounds for deer hunting holds a ton so many that the thing weighs about the same..a ton. A few scratch and dents but the seal is in excellent shape as well as the hinge and all handles. Now the smell, yeah that smell took a washing with Dawn, spray down with Lysol, and left outside for 5 days in the sun to neutralize that sardine can smell from 1945 lol. But it is just fine now and works super for me. Thank you OP for another good product.

Im happy with these cans
After reading the reviews, and seeing what some said, I was concerned. I decided to buy two, 1) so that i would be close to free shipping, 2) because then I had a better chance of getting a good one. One of them is practically unused, brand new other than some surface scratches, the other has orange spray paint in several places, and VERY slight surface rust in a few places. For what I paid I am happy with my purchase. Be aware, if you fill these to the brim with ammo, you may be unable to lift them, or you may damage the handle. 40MM rounds are very large so not many fit in here, if you fill this square full of 9mm loose, you’ll have over 3k rounds and it will weigh a LOT

They are worthless in the condition that I recieved. They will not work for the project intended for. They are dented, rusty and full of different cover paints. You have been warned. Heed the warnings.

Great Cans - Great Deal
I am very happy and impressed with the quality. Rubber seals are in great shape. I initially attempted to buy from different vendor but the shipping cost was outrageous. Optics Planet never disappoints.

Not Grade 1
Advertised as Grade 1, but the 2 I received are dented, rusty, and with black spray paint all over them. False advertising even at just $20. I would say both can fall into Grade 3, maybe one of them could be Grade 2 if you squint and look the other way.

True grade 1, genuine milsurp can
This is a fantastic can at a fantastic price. Mine has near zero rust, despite having stored shellfish in the past— they aren’t kidding when they say it stinks inside! A couple of hours in the open air fixed that issue. There are no dents. The inside is nearly immaculate. Some bonehead sprayed green paint over the cool NATO ammo markings on the outside, for no discernible reason. I believe these were used once, then surplused. This size can holds about the same volume as three .50cal cans. It’s about the maximum size you want to have if you plan to fill it up and still be able to move it around. They also have little fences on the lid corners so they stack perfectly This is a good price, and OP will still ship it free (if your order qualifies) even if you include these bulky, heavy babies. This is gonna go in my Jeep to carry tools and recovery straps.

Great shape, smell terrible
Not sure what previous life these lived, but by the very strong odor, it was for storing shrimp out in the sun. Had to immediately place them outside, and hose them down with dawn. Still attracting raccoons. I'll give them another wash tomorrow in an attempt to salvage any practical storage use. Surprised they didn't require a hasmat lable. No wonder they are final sale.

great for storage
Large cans and good quality. Had to air them out but that is normal. You can fill them but then you have to carry them, they are much larger than a 50 cal can. I’ll be getting more a few more of these. They also stack nicely

ammo boxes
Great quality of the boxes. They are a good value at this price point and I will be buying more as needed.These were in good shape and arrived in a well packed box on time and well tracked. My experience with OP is very good and I have been using them for a number of years.

Surprised at the quality
I recently received 20 40 mm ammo cans from Optics Planet. I was surprised at the high quality. I expected some dirt and rust, possibly some dents and scratches, but they were all in pristine condition. I highly recommend these and this company.
