AR9 Uppers & 9mm AR Complete Upper Receivers from Top Brands like Aero Precision, CMMG & TacFire 84 products / 327 models

You might be wondering what the point of having a PPC (Pistol-Caliber Carbine) is. One of the biggest benefits is carrying only one caliber of ammo for what both your handgun and long gun are chambered for. With the huge popularity of 9mm ammo and the AR platform, it just makes sense that we'd have a 9mm AR upper. Today, there are a lot of options available for an AR9 upper whether you're looking to build out a pistol or a carbine rifle.image

Can I Put a 9mm Upper on a 223 Lower?

Yes, you can put an AR9 upper on a 5.56mm NATO/.223 lower. You will need to swap out some AR Lower Parts. This most commonly includes a magazine adapter and swapping the buffer.

Are AR9 and AR-15 Uppers the Same?

A stripped, generic AR upper receiver for an AR9 or AR-15 are the same but a complete upper isn't. Getting a complete AR9 upper, including a barrel, is the fastest and easiest way to convert your existing AR. Again, if you go with a kit, you'll have everything you need including buffer, trigger, etc.

How Accurate Is a 9mm AR?

There are a lot of factors that go into this, including barrel length and type of ammunition. However, generally speaking, they're very accurate at short ranges under about 100 yards. The longer sight radius (distance between the front and rear sights) makes them more accurate than a 9mm handgun that usually has a 3-to-5-inch barrel. Compared to a rifle caliber, there is far less felt recoil, allowing you to take less time for reacquiring targets. When you're talking about an AR pistol, that felt recoil and the lighter weight of a fully-loaded gun tend to make the 9mm AR far more accurate for most shooters.
