Yes it will work, and I recommend any standard safariland light bearing holster made for a x300u.

I purchased this for the laser but was amazed at how bright the IR flash light is. On a over cast night in darkness it is bright enough to have my gen 3 pvs 7 actually turn its protection on. I do wish it had a option to just run the laser.
