So this won't work on my mossberg 3/8" wide rib... Expert Answer

The Allen Front Shotgun Sight is designed for Remington 5/16 ribs. It might work with a Mossberg 3/8" wide rib. I recommend using the 3/8" rib front sight at the link below.

Do these sights have magnets in them

No they don't, their spring steel and pressure keeps them on, I bought this for my tactical shotgun and it works perfectly
