Is their a difference between this magnifier and the older HM3X??

Yes, the HM3XT's barrel is made of titanium (which is what the "T" stands for), but the barrel is also 3/4" shorter than the HM3X and it weighs about 1oz less.

I have the Aems enclosed red dot optic just wondering Will there be a distortion looking through all that glass on the optic and magnifier?

There will not be any distortion with the Holosun AEMS when using the Holosun HM3XT Magnifier with it.

Yes, the Holosun HM3XT Magnifier is compatible with all Holosun optics as well as any red dot/holographic sights on the market with the exception of prism optics.
