Great EDC option
I've had this knife for a few months now and I carry it everywhere I'm allowed. I bought it to replace my aging Benchmade 530 and it's a great replacement option. The scales are thin and offer good grip in standard and reverse holds. I only buy axis lock knives for daily carry because you can fli...

Don't trick yourself
I tricked myself into buying this I had read negative reviews all over the place, figured they were haters, and decided to pull the trigger despite the reviews. I really had convinced myself this knife was gonna be great. I was wrong. I get it, the knife is light, but the handle flex is obviou...

Great EDC knife, just not great value
I bought the CF version. It's an all around great EDC true pocket knife, light weigh (barely 2 oz.), slim, and very sharp blade. While in a pant pocket, it seems to disappear. The carbon fiber finish is top notch. Smooth deployment action. Overall great design and workmanship. It's jut a question of value at $330 retail; hence a 4 star instead of 5.

Favorite knife
This is my second bugout. Had my first one about 5 years and carried everyday. Recently lost it and ordered another. I have 5 benchmades, this is the one I always carry. So light and thin, forget I have it in my pocket. The bugout handles everything I’ve put it through.

Light weight pocket knife
This is extremely light weight and thin knife for carrying everyday. I have a smaller Benchmade knife that's thicker and heavier than this one, but I'm really happy with my new knife. Looks terrific and a little longer blade than my other everyday knife.
Pros:
- thin, light, strong
Cons:
- none yet
Best Used for:
- everyday carry knife

Great EDC Grey Dude knife!
Super quality. Sharp out of the box (only the haters comment otherwise). The BM 535 series was DESIGNED to be a low profile, lightweight EDC tool knife for the grey dude. BM accomplished this and the Bugout is a fine execution. Reading some of the comment about “cheap feeling” and handle flex, make me snicker. If you need a knife built to use the handle as a hammer, there are plenty out there, but you certainly won’t find them in this compact and supe lightweight form factor. Physics is physics, this one has been engineered to design specs no doubt. If you buy a duck, then complain that it doesn’t taste like chicken — that’s on you. The specs, to include its sub-two ounce weight, are clearly called out in the description. The handle is plenty study enough for a knife designed for this purpose. If you need to pound nails or torque off a bolt, then buy a hammer and a wrench. I notice that many negative reviews use the same language in copy-cat fashion. Folks are either shills, haters or just feel more important when they are complaining. I’m sick of reading idiot reviews written by cretins.
Pros:
- holds an edge
- Great steell
- super design
- Carries super discretely
- Many options available
Cons:
- Does not do my laundry
Best Used for:
- cutting
- EDC
- Stabbing
- Poking
- Peeling fruit
- Anything a sharp, sturdy blade can be used for
- Field Surgery
- Ventilating evildoers
- Discrete carry in public
