Elf SE Trigger Fits Savage 220 Bolt-Action Shotgun
*****THIS TRIGGER WAS SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED ON A SAVAGE 220 TIRKEY BOLT ACTION SHOTGUN.*****REASONS: Purchased this trigger for two specific reasons: 1. Absolutely do not like the feel of the release lever in the stock AccuTrigger. 2. Lighter trigger pull in the 1.25-2 lbs range with no take up. ...

Worse than the accutrigger.
My Savage 110 had a stock accutrigger that I wasn't a fan of at the time, the blade was annoying to me at first. So I decided to "upgrade" to the elfman. Upon installation and testing the trigger, it felt gritty and jumpy. The rear spring pin doesn't reset correctly and locks up, causing the sear to...

good trigger
The trigger has a good feel and is very consistent. I struggled with the Accu trigger, not being consistent.

Required modification
Needed to machine this trigger to get it to work. Not satisfied with fit. I'll probably replace it with another brand.

Weigh your options before buying
Got my trigger today.
After having this product on my watch list for close to a year and going over rhe reviews I used my OP Bucks to get one to try it out and to see if i can make adjustments to some of the problems reported.
Installing and adjusting was easy, flat trigger & adjustable shoe feels great & thats the positive however the jury is still out on the overall design.
A silky smooth sealed bearing in a trigger hints of an over engineered idea considering rhe pull weight adjustment area feels like its filled with sand.
The crunchy feel is from the the flat surfaced detent and spring moving along the threads for the allen screw, and the "not smooth" surface of your receiver.
*Minor gunsmithing is required*
If you polish small area of your receiver & detent pin where the detent spring moves along the receiver and make two smooth surfaces you can remedy the "grit" at in the lower weights (1.25-2.5lb) Apply a dab of good gun grease on the polished area the spring and pin and that may mitigate the crunchies. Tuned up to 3lb and above its still crunch due to the spring compression on the interal threads.
I might do a YT product review showing my remedy once i get some range time on it.
Summary: ELFTMAMNN makes decent products but this one could have done without the enclosed pull weight sping assembly especially if it has issues and isnnot an improvement over the factory tigger. If you don't have the patience for the tune up go with another product or get used to the...

Poorly designed, poorly made and horrible customer service
I purchased this trigger for a Savage mod 12 BVSS. on arrival, I found that the trigger had several major issues.
- It would not adjust down to the stated minimum weight
-it was CRUNCHY . Very crunchy. You can hear it as you squeeze.
-The trigger shoe itself must be removed nd reinstalled every time you remove the action from it's stock as it is too fat to fit through the trigger guard slot
- the trigger shoe attaches by the smallest hex screw I've ever seen. The screw must be tightened HARD or the trigger slips. That screw is already partially stripped after removing it 4-5 times. I have no doubt it would get stuck on the trigger (which means the rifle action is stuck in the stock) with much more use. I now have to use it without the shoe.
- I sent it back to Elftman for inspection /service. That cost me money but worst of all. They fixed/changed nothing on the trigger.

Elfman Precision Trigger- Savage 110
Definitely a top quality product. Haven't installed it yet, but I can see that it is well constructed. Really happy with this one.
Replacing the stock accu-trigger on my Savage Elite Precision 300 PRC. The Elfman trigger allows exact adjustments without compromising safety.

Save your $. Serious design flaws!
First off, this trigger was as crunchy as stepping on a bag of potato chips right out of the package. I thought I must have got a bad one so sent it into Elftmann for exchange ( on my dime). They kept it near two weeks and sent it back saying it had been lubricated. So much for customer service. Beyond that the trigger shoe itself is wider than the base of the trigger guard by nearly 50 thousandths. That means you have to install the shoe AFTER the rifle is put together and remove it before you can take the rifle apart again. THE SHOE WILL NOT FIT THROUGH THE TRIGGRGUARD, PERIOD! To make matter worse the shoe must clamp into the trigger blade by means of tightening the 0.05" allen head screw until it squeezes the blade. I have no doubt that it will be easy to strip that tiny screw and be stuck having to saw off the trigger while in the stock. I am now forced to use the trigger with no shoe for the meantime but will be throwing it in the trash as soon as I can get another brand shipped. Save your money and buy ANY other brand.
Pros:
- Does function down to 1.25#
Cons:
- customer service
- Loud
- BAD SHOE DESIGN
- Poor manufacture quality
- awkward to use without shoe
Best Used for:
- Fishing sinker
