Most Helpful Positive Review Best All-In-1 Optic
Purchased the Mepro MOR vis/IR Bullseye reticle to mount on a IWI X95. As the rifle and optic were design to work together, it is plug and play. Unlike the SAR version of the Tavor, there is no provision for mounting the LASER PTT in the X95's grip panels. The provided 8" PTT comes with a attached VELCRO strip which is long enough to wrap around the X95's fore grip allowing attachment of the PTT in multiple locations along the fore grip. If you intend to use the MOR on a SAR version of the Tavor purchase the 12" PTT cable as this will be long enough to use the mounting hole in the grip. The MO...

Decent Optic with Flaws

by Jeff Wallace, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on February 3, 2019
The LED illumination of the reticle is fairly bright, to the degree of creating a distracting glare around the periphery of the lens. In a sunlit environment, the glare favorably diminished, however, in a relatively dim environment, where ambient light collection and tritium components do not provide enough reticle intensity and the lowest LED setting is required, the glare is quite visible and will cause distraction. I would have also preferred a longer control cable that allows you to place the activation switch precisely on the hand rail. Have photos of light reflection on lens indoors and outdoors but no option to upload.

  • Defense and duty

It is, what it is, and it's done very well

by Anubis, from VA, United States Written on November 29, 2018
If your going to find something negative about it, your most likely putting it in the wrong class. Yes, you can find much cheaper red dots, laser, batt powered, lighted powered, etc.... but you will never find a package that merges them all together in such a small and light set-up. The only thing this thing is missing is for it to display the lasered range at the bottom of the reticle (I'm used to giving away great ideas so, you're welcome Meprolight). I have glasses from my work field that allow me to see the IR dot which, does not show up like the lasers (which can easily give away your position) if you dont have the glasses, the extra money will not be worth it.

Summary: If you can afford something in this price range and want all the attachments but hate a 'busy' look or the additional weight,, the look is over, waiting for a sale never hurts either.

Fantastic reflex sight for all conditions.

by Luke, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 13, 2018
I would consider this optic the best of all possible options in its category. The reticle is crisp, the brightness settings are optimally configured to get the perfect brightness for any condition without needing to cycle through a dozen or so settings, and the build quality is absolutely top-notch. The lens has very nice coatings for anti-fog and anti-glare, and the sight picture is very crisp. I'm not sure if it's polarized, but the crispness is similar to looking through a set of polarized lenses. It does have a fairly blue tint to it, but this is intentional. To me, this builds contrast between the reticle and the field of view, which prevents it from getting lost on any color background and any brightness condition. When shooting two-eyes-open, I don't even notice the coloration, other than that it enhances my ability to find the reticle and get on target quickly.

Over all, it's hard to review or compare this optic to others, since it's the only one on the market that has this feature set. No one else out there has a tritium/fiberoptic reflex sight that's boosted or backed up by LED, let alone one with the reticle options available from Meprolight. The two AA batteries are fully redundant, and the optic will run on one battery, or pull power from both to double the LED/laser battery life. Quality is fantastic, and windage/elevation adjustments are on ball/detent mechanisms that feel smooth, solid, repeatable, and have a very clear tactile/audible click - it fee...

Still Getting Used To It

by Mark, from TX, United States Written on June 21, 2018
I just recently purchased the MOR. Ordering time was a bit long. Let me say that I am surprised I was able to purchase this as I was under the impression the impression that civilians could not purchase this particular model because of the IR designator. The recital with the batteries off appears fairly weak to me so far, both inside and out. To be fair I have not shot with it mounted yet. The red laser is not perfectly centered to the amber dot. It is off slightly and I am hoping that can be adjusted. At night I was able to see the red laser out beyond 150 yards. As I said this is just a very early impression and I am hoping the reputation of Mepro pays off in the long run.
Pros:
  • Easy to adjust, strong red laser.
Cons:
  • Weak unpowered amber dot

Not inexpensive, but nothing else like it!

by Charlie, from FL, United States Written on May 24, 2018
VERY, VERY well made!
It seems like every facet of its design has been well thought out and real-world tested.
The excellent quick on/off rail mounts, the electronic switching between all its functions, even the battery set up are perfect, and the overall construction is rock solid.

  • Tactical/combat

Does it all optic Day or night.

by F16Grinch, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on July 29, 2017
Purchased this product after attempting an EO-Tech and Laser Max (w/red laser marker and IR laser) setup on my SBR. EO-Tech appeared to have a slightly larger sight window (not noticeable now that I have the Mepro-MOR) but reticle was too blurry for my preference. Laser Max had a nice setup but it took up more room overall/combined (not a game changer) and main concern was that I was skeptical about my personal ability to get everything zeroed. Decided to spend the extra money (about twice as much as EO-Tech/Laser Max setup) and get exactly what I wanted. Very pleased with the outcome.

This Mepro MOR B is a versatile and user friendly product. Not too many buttons to select from (only two switches). Love the bullseye reticle instead of just a dot. Personal preference but seems easier to acquire target with reticle and still of small size so as to not occlude the target. Multiple settings starting with unpowered which is perfect for low light or full dark environment AND it's always on without using the battery. Other settings go EXTREMELY bright so no doubt it would be easy to use in FULL sunlight. Have not zero'ed the sight with the weapon but I have observed that all three aiming systems, IR, laser pointer, and reticle are perfectly aligned out of the box at anything greater than about 20ft. Inside 20 feet there is about a two inch variance between the reticle and laser marker. Since they are advertised to all move together (only one adjustment system in azimut...

Meprolight MOR

by Joe, from MN, United States Written on August 29, 2016
This is my first optics so I don't have a lot to compare it to. However here are some of the pros and cons. First, the eye relief is quite good so I can shoot wit two eyes open, which is what I prefer. Second, it is very solid so I imagine it will last a while on my X95. I like the red laser pointer that comes with it, however after zeroing the scope at 25yards and getting two MOA I then moved up to within ten feet of the target and used the laser pointer and it was way off. It says the laser is supposed to adjust automatically when adjusting the reflex scope for windage and elevation; this was not my experience.
Other than that it seems good. I just need to spend more time with it and will go back and look at the manual again to see if there is something I missed.

Good heavy duty optic

by Grant, from WI, United States Written on October 13, 2015
I bought the visible laser only version for my tavor and it feels right at home on it. It is rather large and bulky but I think it is worth the extra space. The bullseye reticle is fast for anything under 100 yards. The optic is perfect for shooting with both eyes open. The optic's reticle is clearly visible when only using ambient light in a room but looking outside on a sunny day will lead to the reticle being washed out so that is when the batteries come into play. Be aware that the cord length for the touch pad is very short (my only real complaint with the optic). This optic is for someone looking for a bomb proof sight that will almost always have a reticle visible (tritium, fiber optics, or batteries) and having a laser built in is nice too. The downsides is that the optic is fairly bulky and the touch pad for the laser has a very short cord.
