Solid choice upper with heavy barrel with A2 flash hider and M-Lok handguard
Rugged-looking upper in 5.56 with heavy nitride barrel, A2 flash hider, M-Lok handguard, and basic BCG and charging handle. Runs like a champ. Gun keeps zero better than thin barrels when hot. Love that it eats all .223 and 5.56 loads. Handguard looks all business and is free-floated with anti-rotational tabs. BCG is machined nicely and all parts including the barrel clean well. Upper is 100% reliable with all loads. Have used this one with both a TRYBE 3X SLED Prism sight and a 4x ACOG with reticle for XM193 loads. Love the ACOG, a gold standard for sure, but pricey. The SLED 3x prism is as tough as this upper and seems like a good match. The whole rig is simple and easy with good performance and no drama. Cleans well but I keep it wet to prevent corrosion. 1 in 7 prefers heavier projectiles. Great value.

Beware! FALSE ADVERTISMENT!!
I ordered this kit mainly because many pre built 10.5” uppers don’t come in 1-7 twist and this one is advertised that it did come in 1-7 that way when I am shooting heavier loads like 77 grain the twist stabilize the round better.
Upon arrival, the upper seems solid, and everything complete as listed, but the box says it is a 1-8 twist upper. There are no markings on the barrel that says otherwise. So I guess I got a 1-8 upper. If that was the case, I would have just built my own 10.5” 1-7 upper receiver, but I was trusting in this specific advertisement from optics planet. Someone dropped the ball and needs to fix the listing that way, other people don’t buy the product thinking it’s a 1-7 upper when in fact it’s a 1-8 twist upper

Ar pistol is great fit
I always thought this be a great truck gun for coyotes . I watched 100 videos people enjoying shooting. Every time I shoot it puts a smile on my face. Great product

This Should Cost Way More
Beyond impressed with this, especially for the price point. Took it apart expecting to have to lap the receiver and bed the barrel, but the barrel and receiver were flush and the barrel was already bedded. I've taken apart uppers that cost 3x this price or more and had to do those things. On top of that, I'm a fan of having a heavy barrel on a 10.5" build for heat dissipation. Would not hesitate to buy this again.

TRYBE Defense complete upper
Impressed with the quality. BCG and charging handle seems well crafted. Barrel surprised me upon bore scoping. Very good barrel not match grade but decent.

Poor Overall Quality and Finish
I bought this item to pair with a PSA lower thinking I would save a few dollars and buy a quality optic with the savings. Little did I know that the Trybe Defense complete upper receiver would be lack luster to say the least. The finish on the MLOK railing is so poor that I can permanently scratch it with my fingernail. Underneath the MLOK railings were several metal shavings. The old adage of you get what you pay for maybe true in this case. I cannot believe that this was a deliberate quality issue. Must have been a QA/QC problem of the whole lot. If I would have paid 225 for it, I would expect such a rough finish but 325 out the door is too much especially with many other options available. BLUF, Trybe Defense should be embarrassed for allowing these to leave the factory.

Can't beat it.
I slapped this on an old lower and it works perfect right out of the box. You really can't beat this price for a quality upper. I've only shot it at 100 yards with a red dot, so I don't know how accurate it is, but it will ring the 8" gong all day.

A 10.5 you can trust
Complete your AR pistol with this 10.5 upper it comes fully ready to go slap your sighting system on and run. The hand guard has a great full to it and has a great circumference.

Trybe's craftsmanship is outstanding !
This is the third Trybe 10 1/5" complete upper that I've purchased, one for me, anotjer for my brother and the last for my son-in-law. Each one was perfectly crafted and each one shot perfectly with sights from Optics Planet. I highly recommend this product-consistant craftsmanship is important to me and Optic Planet delivered every time!
