Can I use this scope on a CVA Hunter 45-70? Expert Answer

The Simmons 510513 Blazer 3-9x40mm Rifle Scope was intended to be used for .17 HMR and .22LR calibers. I would recommend using a larger scope designed to withstand higher recoil from calibers like 45-70. Vortex would be my recommendation. Received an 8-pointer scope which I assume replaced the Blazer in Simmon's line. Seems very rugged and surprisingly bright and clear for the money. Windage and Elevation clicks are a little soft. Overall a good value.
