I had a different magnifier on order and when I checked to see if it had been shipped, I was offered a different product that was in stock because the one I ordered was on back order. I did not check the reviews as I trusted optics planet to send me a substitute of quality. But NO the one they had in stock is pure garbage. Just as the bad reviews stated, the pin is loose and sloppy, the rail mount will not tighten enough to stay on rifle, the optics is a joke, the clarity stinks, and it is the quality of a 9 yr. olds toy. I have ordered from optics planet several times now but this is the last time I will use a place that would send this to me. A return label now has to be sent and after the LONG wait on this thing now I have to go to the trouble of sending it back through the postal service. This should not have happened.

The pen that holds the two pieces together is so loose it flops back and forth and falls out. Save your money purchase a better product.

First and foremost, it's cheap for reasons that you will understand if you decide to purchase. The optics are poor; even though there is a focus ring, it's impossible to get a clear image of the target, and the red dot will also be distorted. Then there is the QR mount, which tends to flop around, causing poor accuracy. Avoid this thing like the plague, even if it's all you can afford. Save up your money until you can afford better.

Highly recommend quick arrival product is the best

It wobbles in either lock position, not only that but you can literally unlock it and it overextends each locking position, including touching the base of the mount below the actual “deployed” position. Also it just spontaneously falls apart, no joke

This unit has very poor optics and turns a round clear red dot into a smeared blurry red useless image. Save your money and spend a little more.

after putting this on my rifle while trying to sight it in, the pin that holds it onto the rail came unglued, yes unglued they are trying to super glue a steel pin into an aluminum housing, so it keeps sliding down the rail into my face every shot, i personally called them wanting a full refund and was in a nut shell told i have to keep this or spend a bunch of time returning it over and over they wont even swap out for another optic of the same price, in my opinion if your not trying to refund money or sell something that isnt going to work thats the same as theft since i now have something that doesnt work and cant return it. DO NOT BUY NCSTAR! i cant say that enough, they are crooks and the 2 products i have are junk and wont even work as paper weights........but opticsplanet is amazing i will keep shopping here and i completly understand they are not responsible for the quality control of ncstar, but i would suggest they reconsider selling any of their products cause it could someday come back to bite them as a supplier of ncstar garbage, keep up the good work optics planet

im new to this so take what you will from this but its ok for its price but the loose hinge makes it seem like it should have cost less...alot less but i was trying to save money and not knowing what kind of optic to use i went with this to go with a red dot i had lying around also by ncstar so i think i probably goofed going with this set up but hopefully my mistake can save you somehow. in short buy something in a set over trying to match like i did or look for a scope in the same price range as this plus the actual sight it needs to magnify

I’m not sure if I simply got a bad unit given some of the other reviews. The glass is average for the low end optics. The mount has about a 1/4” movement while locked. 4 stars if it was half the price. There are cheaper higher quality magnifiers.

This thing wobbles like a bobble head. Extremely loose, without secure positive detents for open and close. Weak rail mount. Tried 3 different rails, loose on all three. Have 2 other magnifiers and have had them mounted for a while without problems. The magnifier itself is not bad, as long as you plan on using a different mount.
