These Sako Optilock Bases will work for that action. These models are the extended models and the M995 Action can use both the long and extended models.

What bases do I need for my Sako 85m .270? Extended, medium or short action models? Also what rings for a one inch tube 4x16x42 scope? Expert Answer

The 85M can use either the Long or Extended bases. For a scope with a 42mm objective, you will need medium height rings. The rings that are compatible with these bases can be found here: https://www.opticsplanet.com/sako-optilock-rings.html

This base and rings fit my Sako Bavarian perfectly. Easy to install and rings did not scratch scope tube. After numerous trips to the range scope mounts are very solid and hold zero. I would highly recommend.

I have been a Sako user for years and I have used every type of scope mount out there.I prefer the Optilock because it has the plastic insert and it will not mark your scope. The other plus is that the alignment doesn't have to be perfect.

OPTILOCKscope mount rings and bases are precisely machined out of solid steel to ensure perfect mating with our integral receiver scope mount rails and optimal scope alignment. OPTILOCK scope mount bases come clamshell-packed in pairs. All the parts required for assembling bases to receiver and rings to bases are included (plus hex key). The size of base that you need can be determined by the caliber of your rifle and corresponding action type.image
