The TacFire 4 prong muzzle brake has four tines, which divert muzzle blast in a manner that reduces felt recoil and muzzle climb. In order to reduce muzzle climb, the first two prongs of the brake are angled downward, meaning the downward force is applied directly to the tip of the muzzle brake. The opposite prongs on the opposite side of the brake apply downward pressure to create a cone-shaped effect, much like the traditional expanding front baffles of a muzzle brake. This makes the muzzle brake much more effective at reducing muzzle climb, as the internal baffles are open-ended. With this design, the shooter gets the maximum benefit from training, as opposed to standing at the ready waiting for the muzzle brake to take hold of them. No messing with a shim, as the tip of the muzzle brake is undisturbed.![]()
