What fitts this piece do? I have standard barrel. Does convert the barrel to threaded?

Yes, for the M&P 22 pistol. Use the wrench provided with your pistol to take off the threaded end piece of the barrel, and install this to connect a 1/2x28 suppressor or muzzle device.

What's the I.D. of the "gun end" of this adapter. Is it small enough it could be adapted the the short .417" barrel end of a 21A (.22) Beretta? Expert Answer

The manufacturer states that the Tactical Innovations S&W M&P 22 1/2x28 is only for the M&P22 compact model. I recommend not using it for a Beretta 21A.

This adapter came in a timely manner and fits good, looks good. Optics planet has never failed me. They are always great to deal with. The adapter went on easy and looks like factory. But good luck getting the factory thread cover off.. Uhg.
