Will the Hawke 40mm honeycomb sunshade work on 40mm objective optic Nikon riflescopes? Expert Answer

Most manufacturers accessories like sunshades and anti-reflection devices do not work for any other manufacturers parts except their own. The Hawke Honeycomb sunshade is only guaranteed to work properly with Hawke scopes and no other companies.

The sunshade would not screw in to the optic, the threads did not match. I was able to use it by putting it inside a flip up lens cover and slipping it on that way. However, it would not work as advertised.
