The CoolFire S&W M&P Shield .40 Cal Coolfire System turns your pistol into a safe, non-lethal means of self-defense. These Police Accessory made by CoolFire Trainer convert a CO2 powered pistol into a "silver bullet" that can be fired from the gun with standard ammunition. The CoolFire S&W M&P Shield .40 Cal CoolFire System uses regular bullets that have no vapor pressure behind them. This lets the user draw the firearm from a pocket, holster, or bag without the "slide hitting" the frame or supporting hand. The gun will think it's firing a real bullet, but will experience no recoil. The CO2 powered barrel converts the pistol into a CO2 powered pistol, which eliminates recoil, sighting, and muzzle flip. There is no recoil, slide lock, or feeding issues that are unique to most training pistols or training barrels. Instead, the barrel activates a CO2 valve to deliver "dry fire" training. It is important to note that while the CO2 powered mechanism is the major difference between "wet" and "dry fire" training, the dry fire method uses compressed air to power the "jet" of CO2 that the CO2 powered barrel goes through before it reaches the firing pin. Using "wet" CO2 is much more sensitive to "dry fire" and must be recharged after each use in order for the "dry fire" to function properly. Therefore, it is imperative to "reactivate" the CO2 powered system in order for it to work properly".
