I have a DPMS Panter AR-15 it will fit

A
Answered by ARmed in NY, member, from NY, United States, on April 17, 2021

NO, IT WILL NOT WORK FOR YOUR AR15! This adapter will work on AR15's that use a short stroke gas piston system. Traditional AR15's us a direct gas impingement system where the BCG needs to be able to go all the way back into the stock/receiver extension/buffer tube to cycle properly. This adapter doesn't allow the BCG to go past the receiver.

Please explain the terms "carbine to carbine" and "carbine to fixed"

This deals with the connection. The fixed will have a full size plate while the carbine will be a circle. If you're placing this on an AR, you will need the fixed to fixed or fixed to carbine in order to hold the takedown pin spring and detent as this does not accommodate the endplate.

No, it is not compatible with AR15 or AR10 rifles. While it physically may be able to be installed, it would block the bolt carrier from cycling into the buffer tube. "AR Style" only means a rifle chassis that accepts AR15 buffer tubes/stocks.

As long as it's meant to accept standard mil-spec buffer tubes, it should work; minor fitting may be required. It goes chassis side first, which appears to be carbine, and if you are running a carbine buttstock, then carbine to carbine would work.

We don't have any experience with your platform, but likely a fixed to carbine. However, there is likely no way to mount it to your rifle.

It depends on what interface you have on the chassis. If you have a carbine, then carbine to carbine will work with carbine-style stocks.

I would recommend sending us an email at Techsales@opticsplanet.com and letting us know what your specific build is. That way we can help you decide whether or not this folding stock will work well for you.
