The BlackHawk M2A2 Ammo Can (Gun Sharpening System) is based on an in-line design that has been used with military and law enforcement sniper teams for many years with excellent results. The can is a bit taller than most steel boxes so it presents itself to be stored on a flat surface when opened. It has a hinged lid and when opening and closing the lid acts as a gasket to keep the can from shaking loose. These cans also have an asymmetric hinge, which allows for cans to be dropped without causing damage to the hinges or the cans when dropped on concrete. So it's ready to go to work right out of the box and there's less chance for the hinge to fail.
