Barrel Description: 6 groove, 1x9 Right-Hand Twist, Button Rifled, Nitro Carburized, Threaded Muzzle, 4150 CMV (chrome-moly vanadium) Steel, Chambered in 5.56 NATO DEZ ARMS, INC. match barrel. The precision 4150 CMV barrel with M4 cut extension, chambered 5.56 NATO, pulled-button rifling process, lapped bore and 11 crowned barrel delivers pinpoint accuracy. Each barrel is concentrically cut and muzzle threaded 0.5 -28 R.H. twist to accept flash hiders/suppressors, stressed relieved, turned on center to prevent accuracy robbing distortion when the barrel heats up, and hardened to 26-33 Rc giving the barrel a long life.

Our pulled-button rifling produces a superbly accurate bore diameter with uniform rate of twist. The match barrel is machined to tighter specifications producing a tighter fit for greater accuracy.

Nitro carburizing: Nitro carburized interior and exterior finish which is also applied to the barrel extension and gas port during heat treating and creates a monolithic black finish that is superior to hard chrome. The process does not add material to the internal dimension of the bore, increasing surface hardness to between 58-65 HRC, lowering bore friction, enhancing surface lubricity, improving running wear performance, enhancing corrosion resistance and heat resistance over industrial hard chrome.

In addition, the barrel extension and gas port are also surface converted minimizing barrel extension wear, increasing corrosion resistance and limiting gas port erosion.
