Although the packaging states for use with 308 type ARs, this product did not work properly for me. My AP M5 would not lock into the device. The mount fit but just could not securely “lock” the rifle on.

The block fastens nicely to a base of your choice. It does not have a "stop" to keep the top of the block from touching the bottom of the bolt. I had to install my own external stop to allow the operation of the bolt while on the block.
