Easy fit with no regrets

by DARREL, from United States, NV Written on February 23, 2015
Allows you to mount the scope much lower to eye level without having to search for the cross hairs. It is very sturdy and handles the 270 wsm kick with ease. I havent had to adjust anything once I got the scope zeroed in. Other rings I have had we have had to adjust the screws after about 50 rounds....

Awesome !!

by Freeopkiller, from United States, MT Written on February 21, 2015
These rings are awesome. Building twin budget sniper rifles for myself and a buddy. ( Yeah your welcome buddy ) I ordered 2 pairs of the extra high 1" to pair with EVG 20moa mounts and Sightmark 10-40x56mm TD's... Way, Way too high.. Ordered the 1" high mounts. Perfect, just enough clearance for the suppressors.. If your using less than 56mm I would recommend the 3/4".. There isn't anything bad to say about these rings. They look Great and Scream Durability. Had minor lapping, expected. Just a really nice set, These are my new standard sets from now on.. The only improvement I'd like to see would be twin mounting nuts per ring, rather than single.. Couple hundred rounds and counting, not a single problem.....
Pros:
  • tough
  • Durable construction
  • Great looks and performance
Cons:
  • None.

Burris Xtreme Tact Pic 30mm Rings

by Chris, from United States, GA Written on February 4, 2015
Excellent set of rings from Burris. Fit and finish was very good. Big 6 screw design to keep the scope from any movement even with big magnums, large heavy scopes, and muzzle breaks. The lows were adequate for my 56mm NightForce objective to clear Sendero taper barrel with a 20MOA rail....
Pros:
  • Quality
  • good price
Cons:
  • None

Burris XTR Rings

by Reddog, from United States, VA Written on January 28, 2015
I have several sets of these rings. They are very solid and come very concentric right out of the box. I have never had a set slip or damage a scope tube and they are light weight too. I use mostly low and medium height rings and these are rock solid when installed correctly. As with any ring, regardless of manufacturer or price, I would advise everyone to check the alignment closely and always lap the rings to assure that your scope isn't tweaked by out of parallel or non-concentric rings....

Awesome rings for benchrest/tactical applications

by mpglock, from United States, TN Written on January 27, 2015
These are some of the best rings I've ever tried. The 6 screws per ring insure a secure fit. Checked them with alignment bars and the were spot on. Put them on top of an EGW rail and they mated perfectly. Will be using these rings on future builds. They are a bit on the heavy side and would be best suited for a benchrest or prone gun....
Pros:
  • Fit
  • Finish
Cons:
  • Heavy
Best Used for:
  • prone tactical application

Sweet Deal

by JasonT, from United States, CA Written on January 20, 2015
These rings are very similar to the Millet tactical rings, but the finish on these is very good. They are very very solid, and I have no doubt they'll be on my new .308 long range gun for many thousands of rounds.

They did need lapping, as do almost all rings. They were tight and in perfect alignment without lapping, but after a quick lap, I could see they were barely in contact with my scope - maybe 20%. So 25 minutes later, and I've got 60-70% contact - which I've seen should hold up just fine. 100% contact is awesome, but impractical, as it takes longer and longer to lap the more contact you have - force per unit area decreases etc... 100% contact probably would have taken me another 2 hours, and you can sometimes take so much off to insure every bit of contact surface that the rings won't tighten on the scope. Better safe than sorry!...
Pros:
  • Strong
  • Easy to lap
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • everything

Burris Xtreme Tactical scope mounts

by Bob, from United States, OH Written on January 12, 2015
One heck of a value for the price. I strongly recommend lapping once installed just to clean up the insides for a full clamp on the tube. This is standard scope mounting practice. These hold nicely for the tough duty. Cost is very good for what you get. Mounts are right on for a centered scope. Initial POA is very close....

Go to budget scope rings

by Blaine, from United States, UT Written on December 22, 2014
These rings are my go to for a budget minded rifle build. They have never let me down on functionality as well as fit and finish. It's nice to have 3 screws per side of each ring when getting the scope leveled and place in the exact position before using thread locker to ensure they stay that way. Without all 3, you couldn't have a balanced fit while placing the thread locker on a single bolt.
My only complaint is that they use a torx style bolts rather than a straight hex type. Please, for all that is holy, manufacturers, please use standard hex bolts rather than torx....
Pros:
  • good price
  • Great fit and finish
  • strong lock up
Cons:
  • torx bolts

Very Solid

by NRAinstructor75, from United States, FL Written on December 6, 2014
These rings are very wide and heavy duty. If you want rings that hold zero under the worst of conditions, buy these. Make sure you read that the cheaper unit is one ring. I have no idea why they sell 1 pc by itself but it is not a set....
