Burris Xtreme rings

by Boots, from United States, VA Written on March 25, 2015
Excellent value for the quality. Very sturdy and they need to be. Going on a Barrett 50 bmg m82A. I like the very solid mounting bolts with hexagonal head vice the common round finger tightening you see everywhere. Fast shipping also. Optics Planet shipped me a second one is rapid time!...

ROck Solid

by Glenn R., from United States, IL Written on March 24, 2015
I recently purchased a POF 308 AR10 along with a vortex scope. I then had purchased the Burris AR-PEPR Tactical Riflescope Rings with Mount from optics planet. While I was happy with this setup the Burris AR-PEPR Tactical Riflescope Rings with Mount were a little too high. I was pleased with the Burris Mount so I thought I would give these tactical rings a shot as they were about .375" lower. Fit was prefect and actually the two rings gave me a bit more flexibility in mounting my other iron sights and bubble level which the Burris AR-PEPR caused more interference with. I was also able to center the scope better. Both mounts in my opinion are excellent quality...just wish they were made in the USA not China.
Make sure you use a torque wrench on these mounts and recheck after a couple of days....
Pros:
  • well made
  • Rigid
  • Good looking!!!
  • flexible mounting options
Cons:
  • Made in China
Best Used for:
  • Ar platforms

Great Value

by surfernv, from United States, CA Written on March 20, 2015
These are awesome rings. They are super sturdy and with a little bit of loctite, my scope is going nowhere. I am using the medium height rings with my SWFA SS 6x42 scope on a Remington 700 SPS Varmint....

urris Xtreme Tactical Picatinny Style Rail 30mm Rings Review

by Nick, from United States, PA Written on March 15, 2015
This is a very sturdy well made product. It's a little expensive to only come in a pack of one-but only one is nearly solid enough to hold an entire scope. If i need to buy another set of mounts I would definitely consider this product again....
Pros:
  • Very sturdy/well built
Cons:
  • pricey, but you get what you pay for

Burris 30mm medium height rings.

by JG, from United States, MT Written on March 4, 2015
There were just what I needed to mount a Vortex crossfire II 4x16x50 to an AR 10. Haven't sighted it in yet but I have the same Burris mounts on another 308 bolt action and recoil is definitely no problem....

Easy fit with no regrets

by DARREL, from United States, NV Written on February 23, 2015
Allows you to mount the scope much lower to eye level without having to search for the cross hairs. It is very sturdy and handles the 270 wsm kick with ease. I havent had to adjust anything once I got the scope zeroed in. Other rings I have had we have had to adjust the screws after about 50 rounds....

Awesome !!

by Freeopkiller, from United States, MT Written on February 21, 2015
These rings are awesome. Building twin budget sniper rifles for myself and a buddy. ( Yeah your welcome buddy ) I ordered 2 pairs of the extra high 1" to pair with EVG 20moa mounts and Sightmark 10-40x56mm TD's... Way, Way too high.. Ordered the 1" high mounts. Perfect, just enough clearance for the suppressors.. If your using less than 56mm I would recommend the 3/4".. There isn't anything bad to say about these rings. They look Great and Scream Durability. Had minor lapping, expected. Just a really nice set, These are my new standard sets from now on.. The only improvement I'd like to see would be twin mounting nuts per ring, rather than single.. Couple hundred rounds and counting, not a single problem.....
Pros:
  • tough
  • Durable construction
  • Great looks and performance
Cons:
  • None.

Burris Xtreme Tact Pic 30mm Rings

by Chris, from United States, GA Written on February 4, 2015
Excellent set of rings from Burris. Fit and finish was very good. Big 6 screw design to keep the scope from any movement even with big magnums, large heavy scopes, and muzzle breaks. The lows were adequate for my 56mm NightForce objective to clear Sendero taper barrel with a 20MOA rail....
Pros:
  • Quality
  • good price
Cons:
  • None

Burris XTR Rings

by Reddog, from United States, VA Written on January 28, 2015
I have several sets of these rings. They are very solid and come very concentric right out of the box. I have never had a set slip or damage a scope tube and they are light weight too. I use mostly low and medium height rings and these are rock solid when installed correctly. As with any ring, regardless of manufacturer or price, I would advise everyone to check the alignment closely and always lap the rings to assure that your scope isn't tweaked by out of parallel or non-concentric rings....

Awesome rings for benchrest/tactical applications

by mpglock, from United States, TN Written on January 27, 2015
These are some of the best rings I've ever tried. The 6 screws per ring insure a secure fit. Checked them with alignment bars and the were spot on. Put them on top of an EGW rail and they mated perfectly. Will be using these rings on future builds. They are a bit on the heavy side and would be best suited for a benchrest or prone gun....
Pros:
  • Fit
  • Finish
Cons:
  • Heavy
Best Used for:
  • prone tactical application
