Product Info for ArmaLite SSASS AR-10 7.62mm Barrel
Intended for use with 7.62 rifles and carbines the SSASS AR-10 barrel features a heavy profile and a 1:10 twist rate. The barrel is constructed from 416R stainless steel and is triple lapped to ensure durability and the torque rating of the barrel is rated for sustained heavy duty use. The barrel extension is pre-installed and headspaced. The barrel features an MLOK handguard rail on the front and a MLOK system on the back. This system allows the user to remove the handguard and install a shorter, light weight, more durable, barrel that maintains the same overall length, gas port size, and weight as the barrel that they are installing. Simply remove and reinstall the barrel in the same manner as the original barrel. However, the barrel has no rifling gullets so the gas system does not need to be tuned. The barrel extensions also eliminates the need for windage and elevation wrenches.
